Battle of the Smokies is an annual conference and competition held in Sevierville, TN. Providers can gather together to learn best practices in trauma care.
Attendees can register for Battle of the Smokies AND the Battle of the Smokies EMS Providers Conference OR simply attend the conference only.
The providers conference will begin at 9a and run until approximately 5p. The competition kicks off at 9a. 8 contact hours will be awarded for attending this event.

Hidden Wounds: Psychological Impact of Severe Traumatic Injury on
Patients and Emergency Care Providers
The goal of this conference is to increase provider awareness around trauma related injuries. Some of the objectives providers can expect when attending Battle of the Smokies 2026: Identify key anatomical and physiological differences in pediatric patients that influence injury patterns and assessment findings, differentiate early physiologic warning signs of impending collapse using prehospital data points such as shock index, ETCO₂ trends, mental status changes, and perfusion markers, describe the physiology of hemorrhagic shock, and many more.
